Once upon a time...a crystal lover doing spells with stones and words couldn't find a definition that conveyed the meaning of what she was doing. So, she made her own. She was using crystals and words in spells to attract the energy she wanted in her life, so she defined Stone Spelling. But it was a verb all by itself and it seemed lonely, so she partnered it with a noun, Stone Spell.
And the days turned into weeks, and the weeks turned into months, and she decided to make a mission to get the witchy words into dictionaries.
That crystal lover is me, J. Taylor. But I don't want it to be just about me. I want the words to spread in the metaphysical communities. I hope they'll spread to other crystal lovers, witches, energy healers, astrologers, and everyone who works with stones. And I want the words to be free and friendly for everyone to use without fear of stepping on copyright and trademark laws.
To help make that happen, we need to spread the word. If we spread the words and speak the words, we're closer to getting them into dictionaries.
The idea of Stone Spelling, started forming in my thoughts in the fall of 2023 and in January of 2024, I defined the term Stone Spelling for my own use in my witchy practice. I searched for others who also used it and could find nothing, and I thought to myself, "ok, let's spread the word."
I love the vibe of the words combined. The more I used them, the more they felt perfect for the magic that happens when words and stones join forces.
Let's join forces in the metaphysical community. Let's use the terms, discuss the terms, and shape the words we use. Let's start sharing and see where it goes.
